Properly installed insulation protects the environment and reduces costs. Equipment insulation protects personnel from workplace injuries and increases equipment efficiency and lifespan. Read more about cost and energy savings below.

Our dedicated team has experience in insulating power plants, production facilities, and pharmaceutical, beverage, and chemical processing plants, as well as many other industrial and commercial settings. We can provide insulation for the following:

  • pump and valve covers

  • vessels

  • pipes
  • diesel equipment exhaust
  • chilled water plants
  • boilers
  • extrusions
  • ducts
  • gas and steam turbines
  • tanks
  • industrial applications
  • process piping
  • commercial piping
  • water lines

Buildings are responsible for almost 40% of energy demand and 40% of all greenhouse gas emissions, making them a critical component in the search for smarter energy solutions. In industrial and commercial buildings, mechanical insulation is the simplest and most cost-effective way to reduce energy use. Even a modest increase in insulation thickness can have a significant impact.

Mechanical insulation is a proven and available solution for energy conservation, even though it doesn’t generate the media buzz that envelope insulation, solar panels, and wind turbines do. These new energy initiatives should be explored, but traditional approaches shouldn’t be forgotten. Mechanical insulation systems are among the few manufactured products that save more energy than it takes to produce them. On a dollar-for-dollar basis, it’s a better value than many other initiatives that get more attention from politicians and the press.

Mechanical insulation upgrades have the potential to save enormous amounts of energy and financial resources. Systems frequently have a payback period of 12 months or less, which equates to a 100% annual return. Across plants of all sizes and in all industries, insulation improvements have demonstrated an approximate 9 – 12 month return on investment. Mechanical insulation is a simple solution for saving money and saving energy.

Insulating or upgrading the insulation on your pipes, ductwork, HVAC components, and plumbing systems will save you money, energy, time, and effort.

Removable and reusable insulation blankets are custom designed and fabricated for each individual project to ensure a tight, accurate fit. For a neat appearance and proper sound and thermal performance, we use multiple piece construction, assembled in our facility or onsite.

Insulation blankets protect like traditional insulation, but their greater ease of removal and installation saves on manpower and money. Professionally constructed and installed removable blankets reduce heat loss, conserve energy, control noise, protect against fires and freezing, and reduce workplace injuries.

A wide variety of insulation materials ensures that our blankets can handle temperatures up to 2300°F, making them ideal for plastics, boiler heads, manholes, heat exchangers, valve and pump covers, steam and gas turbines, diesel exhaust systems, and more.

Energy efficiency improvements to your business can reduce energy consumption, decrease costs, improve worker comfort, and increase productivity. Midwest Insulation Services can perform an energy audit in your facility to identify un-insulated or under-insulated pipes and equipment that are costing you money.

Let our certified Insulation Energy Appraisers show you how you can significantly reduce your energy consumption and costs. We use sophisticated software and devices to accurately evaluate your thermal performance, calculate your current greenhouse gas emissions, and translate those conclusions into estimated savings.

These results can be used to advise on upgrading your insulation systems for the most significant reduction of your carbon footprint and the most immediate return on your investment. A customized report will be provided to help you make an informed decision for your business.
